The Hardest Word to Spell

I just composed an email containing a word that means “without musical accompaniment”. You know the word…

accapella

Must be two P’s.

acappella

I guess it’s not two L’s.

accappela

What the…? Maybe no doubles at all.

acapela

That does’s even look right.  All doubles?

accappella

Argh.

Oh yeah, there’s sometimes a space in there.  Trying again…

a cappela

Shoot.

a capela

Not even close.

a capella

What is going on?!

At this point, I concluded that my spell-checker also doesn’t know how to spell this word.

For future reference…

It’s a cappella (according to my online dictionary site). And that space… it’s optional.

Oh well, at least I finally figured how to spell ryhthm. I always hated that word too.

I mean rhythm.

Wisdom

Now there’s something to chase after and to ask for in prayer…

Happy is the person who finds wisdom and gains understanding.  For the profit of wisdom is better than silver, and her wages are better than gold.  Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.

She offers you life in her right hand, and riches and honour in her left.  She will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying.  Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly.  (Proverbs 3:13-18, NLT)
