Still Laughing

I posted this back on November 14 of last year on our China blog.  I re-listened to it today and laughed all over again.  Man, that laugh just sets me off!

Bested

“To be the man, you’ve got to beat the man.” That’s what Ric Flair used to say back in my wrestling-watching years.

Yesterday, the Lions’ domination of the Riders just proved: Yeah, they’re still “the man”! We lost in every part of the game, and I don’t even know what we did wrong. The Lions were simply firing on all cylinders, and we couldn’t match up with it. Nothing more to say…

Except…

There’s always next year.

A Battle Brewing

Have you ever heard read Jim Lang’s stuff? He’s the CFL guy for Sportsnet. While I love his passion for the game, he’s got the stupidest vocabulary on the planet. He’ll use words like ‘stud’ and ‘sexy’ to describe football players and games. Yeah, those don’t quite work.

But THIS game… he’s calling it to be a ‘slobber-knocker’. That’s probably right on target.

Here’s to a great battle on Sunday. May the Green & White be the last men standing!

A Poem

A limerick for you…

The trek from a boy to a man
Can carry some growing demands.
Our Topaz’s life
Was causing some strife
So we swapped it for this fine Grand Am!

If you know anyone in the market for an ’89 beater that still has some life in it, direct them my way.  We can barter!

License to Go

If you’ve ever wondered what God wants you to do or which fork in the road to take, here’s a perfect answer.  But beware.  It’s one of those answers that doesn’t neatly solve your problem or spell anything out for you… but you know it’s right anyway.

Yeah, this is one of those.

“If it pleases you, always and only, to do what pleases God,–you can do as you please!”
