From the Inside Out

Man, I am loving this song lately…

From the Inside Out (by United)

A thousand times I’ve failed; still Your mercy remains.
And should I stumble again,I’m caught in Your grace.
Everlasting,Your light will shine when all else fades.
Never-ending,Your glory goes beyond all fame.

Your will above all else, my purpose remains:
The art of losing myself in bringing You praise.
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades.
Never-ending,Your glory goes beyond all fame.

In my heart and my soul, Lord I give You control.
Consume me from the inside out.
Lord let justice and praise become my embrace,
To love You from the inside out.

Everlasting,Your light will shine when all else fades.
Never-ending,Your glory goes beyond all fame.
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise,
From the inside out,
Lord my soul cries out…

Simply lovin’ it.

  1. Your thoughts always give me inspiration when I’m at home or at work.

Your last two posts especially. I need these reminders at times of who God is, especially when I get caught up in the day to day things. I worry about the silliest stuff when it doesn’t matter.

    Thanks J,

  2. In case you’ve never checked out my blog, I’m a blog stalker, and I link and link and link and then i find people…LIKE YOU!!! As far as I know, this is still legal. I love this song as well, along with a very long list of other United songs…i think some of the most thought provoking lyrics…I was listening to a CD the other day while I was praying, and Draw me close to you came on…a song I’ve always known, and known the lyrics to. Maybe I was always backwards, but as far as I knew, this is a song WE sing to GOD, but as I began to listen, the words didn’t seem to feel right, and God just said to me, I’m singing this to YOU. It changed everything. Go check out the lyrics, and read it like God is speaking to you. Sometimes I feel like God is saying…WHAT ELSE CAN I DO??? He’s waiting on us to draw ourselves to him, He’s done everything He can do to draw near to us. Anyway, it was kinda cool that God was singin that to me, and I just wanted to share. Maybe this was a little long for a comment. My apologies.

  3. This song realy opened my eyes and helped me realize that God will always be there, even through the hard times. No matter what his light will shine, even when i don’t feel like it is. I first heard this song when i was at Riverview Bibile Camp, we sang it during worship. This song is so powerful and i would recommend this song to everyone. It really changed my life, and I am so grateful for it.

    Sincerely,
    Sharry
